As a certified trichologist I help people find holistic solutions to their biggest hair and scalp concerns so that they can feel confident, empowered, and radiant.
What is a trichologist?
A trichology certificate requires two years of medical training involving an intensive study of the body systems, hormones, nutrition, chemistry, and how it pertains to hair loss. As a certified trichologist I'm able to use this knowledge to assess why hair loss is occurring, and how or if it can be remedied. Hair loss can occur for hundreds of reasons, and it is my goal to determine what is causing it so that effective treatment can be given.
Why see a trichologist over a doctor or dermatologist?
There is definitely nothing wrong with visiting your doctor or dermatologist! But in my experience, I've found that often times they are not interested in addressing the root cause of your hair loss. Common treatments like steroid injections, contraceptives, and antidepressants are Band-Aid fixes and do not address why the hair loss is occurring to begin with. A visit with a trichologist will help you to understand why your hair loss is occurring and give you recommendations of how to address the root cause.
What does a hair loss consultation involve?
Your consultation begins by filling out the health questionnaire form that will be emailed to you ahead of your visit. This helps me collect vital information regarding your current health and health history that may help indicate the cause of your hair loss. At your appointment, we will go over the information on your form and I will ask any other pertinent questions to help determine the cause of your hair loss. We will then take a look at your scalp and hair with a dermoscope to further confirm any suspected diagnosis. At the end of your appointment you will receive a personalized treatment recommendation, along with an email summary of your visit.
How do I schedule a consultation?
If you would like to schedule a consultation, please fill out the contact form below, or book online here. All consultations are held in a comfortable, private office located inside LT Style Loft. Consultations are approximately 45 minutes, and will include the review of your health form, further discussion of your health hisotry, exam with dermoscope, pictures of your hair to begin to document any regrowth progress, and personalized treatment recommendations. $100
